Elite Thread  is a thin 100% polyester thread that is equivalent to size 00 or A  silk thread.  It is a 60/3-ply thread and has the same soft, luxurious, smooth texture and finish as Jean Stitch thread.  I have Elite thread prepared on 200-yard spools for easy travel and space saving in your work area.   There are 40 solid colors available.  You will find Elite thread in all colors in the Thread Shop on the Beadwrangler Elite Thread Order Page.  Elite is perfect for bead crochet and knitting with smaller beads; Japanese 15/0's and Czech 14/0's, Czech 13/0 1-cuts, Czech 16/0 through 24/0 vintage beads and Delicas.   Elite is perfect for thread crochet using a size 14 crochet hook or knitting with size 0000 knitting needles.   You will find Elite is easy to string beads using a bead spinner or by hand, and the beads will set where you want them on the thread instead of a bunch ending out next to your hook or needles while you work.  Elite is great for embroidery, miniature pin weaving, multiple strand braids and a variety of other stitchery crafts.

Elite is a very consistent thread.  It is more uniform than other sewing threads, has less sluffs and irregularities, and is perfect for hand or machine sewing including serging.  For those needing spools with more thread quantity for machine stitching or crocheting and knitting larger projects such as lace shawls and fine doilies, you can email me for special orders.  Elite thread is the thread for small beads.

I use Elite thread for bead crochet with small beads, especially ropes.   I have made exquisite ropes with Elite thread and Japanese 15/0 beads. These ropes are thin, lightweight and elegant.  See my Shibori Rope Kit for examples.  I use Elite for knitting small motifs and other experimental pieces, with and without beads.   I did use a variety of thin polyester threads in the past for my bead crochet with small beads including size 24/0 and they can not compare with Elite.  They do not have as tight a ply as Elite and are more difficult to work; I just did not know it until I found Elite.  Once I tried Elite, I never wanted to use other thin threads again.  Elite is a dream come true for those working with small beads.  Miniaturists will find Elite perfect for many projects.
