| Tassels have been a
part of human history for ages. They were added to robes for religious ceremonies;
to bags and clothing of the 1800's and for interior decor. Tassels exude romance and
are a connection with our past. Today tassels are made of many materials. Tassels never go out of style. I designed these
tassels because I just love long sumptuous bead strands draped and hanging to touch,
eye-goggle and enjoy. I know you will enjoy making these tassels as much as I have.
Your tassels will become your heirlooms to wear, use as decorations and hand down
to your children or grandchildren.
I have included complete step-by-step instructions for making the
heirloom tassel and a rope to hang the tassel. My favorite earring
pattern is included for matching earrings. The chain and single
crochet stitches are all that is required to make these gorgeous
tassels. Once you have made the first tassel, you can make
more with my bead mixes or with solid bead colors. You can use the
tassel skirt pattern as part of a larger project such as a doll, a
sculpture or other decorations. magine the surprise of your
favorite "special" person receiving such a gift! It is a lifetime
gift of love.
As with all my kits, the
instruction booklet also includes several optional projects you can create. The Heirloom Tassels are available
in any of my huge selection of Beadwrangler Seed Bead Mixes. Size 8/0 beads make up one
portion of the tassel and 11/0 beads make the hanging portion of the tassel.
