Lydia F Borin, The Beadwrangler, is passionate about beadwork as an artform. She wants as many people as possible to learn all of the known beadwork techniques, use them to create beautiful items and pass their knowledge along to their children and friends. She frequently tells her students: "I don't want beading to ever be just a fad again. I want it to be a permanent artform. And why do they call it "beadwork" anyway, when it's so much fun!" Lydia is primarily a designer. She would much rather develop a new design than create a single item of beadart or fiberart. So, to achieve her goal of making beadwork an accepted artform while doing the thing she enjoys most, she decided to design kits that teach the many beadwork techniques. With a Beadwrangler kit you will expand your growing store of beadwork knowledge while creating one or more heirloom quality pieces that you will be proud to display, wear or give as a gift. Beadwrangler kits cover two important areas that are not usually mentioned in many other kits. First, you will find that Lydia encourages you to combine different techniques in order to achieve unusual effects. And second, she provides a great deal of information about finishing. These small but important finishing techniques give your finished piece a professional quality appearance. Her instructions always include lots of options that you can use in future projects. Each item you create will have its own unique personality. The instructions that accompany each of Lydia's kits do not consist of one or two pieces of paper. Her instructions are presented in a complete booklet that is generously illustrated. The organization and layout of each instruction booklet is carefully designed with you in mind. A Beadwrangler kit presents you with an experience that is fun, enjoyable and rewarding. You will also find that the instruction booklets that come with each of Lydia's kits are valuable references for future beadwork projects. Of course, the materials in each kit are the highest quality. Lydia provides you with the same materials that she prefers when creating individual heirloom pieces that she expects to last for at least 200 years. Beads, thread, needles, wire, metal findings are all selected from a wide range of national and international distributors and extensively tested by Lydia before they are included in a Beadwrangler kit. Here are some of the comments Lydia frequently receives from her kit customers: "I didn't know it would be so much fun and so easy to learn this new beadwork technique. Thanks, Lydia, for a great time!" "You kit was really easy. I really enjoyed it. However, someone told me that what I had done was Peyote stitch. I find this hard to believe because I was always told that peyote stitch was really hard." "I finished my necklace and wore it for
the first time Saturday night. A lady came up to me and said it was the most
beautiful beadwork she had ever seen and offered to buy it on the spot!" There is an extensive
information page associated with each Beadwrangler kit.
