Presencia in Spain is the manufacturer of Finca cotton thread. Finca thread is smoother, has a higher sheen and appears to be a tighter ply than other pearl cottons.  All cotton fibers become softer as they are handled and washed.  Since Finca is a tighter plied fiber, it will not stretch as much as other pearl cotton #12 threads and holds its resilience longer.  Finca feels good to the touch and does not separate when using a crochet hook, knitting needle or sewing needle. 

I wholesale and retail Finca Pearl Cotton #12.  You can crochet and knit 11/0 and 12/0 beads with Finca #12.  Finca #12 will get you going with beautiful bead crochet and knit ropes that are extremely popular.  The ropes can be crocheted with 3 beads to 7 beads around with very little stretch in the fiber.    Finca #12 is excellent for color graduation with solid colors.  The variegated colors are superb for bead crochet and knit ropes using clear crystal beads; the overall finish is beautiful.  Use clear crystal beads and variegated color thread for embroidery; the beads reflecting through the thread will result in an exotic finish. .   Finca thread can be used for thin braids, knotting, macramé, needlepoint, embroidery, embellishment and other stitchery techniques.  For stitches requiring counted cloth, use a soft counted cloth that has the hole size to accept the thread.  The linen counted cloth is perfect for pearl cottons and other soft fibers.
