Shadra Necklace
A luxurious profusion of cascading bead loops

Since this necklace beading project appeared in Lapidary Journal, Lydia has been invited to teach Shadra Necklace workshops for bead societies, weavers' guilds and other groups.  Along the way she has refined the bead loop formula to make the project even easier than the original Shadra.  And for this kit she adds more incremental bead loops to give the necklace a graceful, luxurious look.

As with all of Lydia's kits, she has produced a detailed, well-illustrated instruction booklet that includes lots of options for bracelets, earrings, headbands, belts, boas and key rings with varying bead loop formulas.

And you won't believe the color combinations.  Over fifty fantastic seed bead mixes, each one carefully designed by Lydia based on her many years of study and experimentation in the areas of color theory and design.

Shadra with Cord
First you will learn how to prepare a cord with a professional look that will accept any clasp or connection you choose.  This is a great technique you will use over and over in your future beading projects.

Then you will use the Beadwrangler formula to add bead loops to the cord to create a beautiful, luxurious looking necklace.

Then, using an entirely different formula, you will make matching earrings.

Shadra Earring
In the Future Options section of the Instruction Booklet you will learn how to create bracelets, headbands, belts, pendants, brooches, boas, key rings and rings.  This section also includes a completely different formula for a thinner cord.

Finally, you will learn the secret origin of the Shadra Necklace in an original Beadwrangler story.
