The Shibori is a very thin bead crochet rope that is extremely lightweight and very elegant. I was able to design this thin rope by developing a modification of the single bead crochet stitch, stocking up on gorgeous Japanese size 15/0 seed beads and using Elite thread, a very thin but strong 3-ply polyester thread. These ropes are so light that you can wear several at the same time. Crocheting with Elite thread and size 15/0 seed beads is more difficult than crocheting with Jean Stitch thread and size 11/0 seed beads. For an enjoyable experience crocheting with Elite thread and size 15/0 seed beads, you should have made at least three bead crochet ropes using Jean Stitch thread and size 11/0 seed beads. The Shibori also comes in a size 11/0 seed bead version that is also very thin but not as thin and light as the size 15/0 seed bead version. At the bottom of this information page you can click to either the Shibori-15 Order Page or the Shiboru-11 Order Page. I recommend that you take a look at both pages to see all the colors available. You can easily switch between the two order pages. |
